00:00:00.068 --> 00:00:04.268
around a month ago, Saudi Arabia signed what was called the Mecca Joint Defense

2
00:00:04.328 --> 00:00:06.548
Agreement with Turkey and Pakistan.

3
00:00:07.208 --> 00:00:12.828
Um, and that was supposed to basically, uh, say that if one of the countries is

4
00:00:12.908 --> 00:00:17.088
attacked, something similar to NATO, then the other countries have to come to their

5
00:00:17.128 --> 00:00:22.848
defense. Well, what we've basically seen is like, unfortunately, many of these types

6
00:00:22.968 --> 00:00:29.088
of, um, agreements in the Arab world, in the Muslim world, um, basically they're not

7
00:00:29.128 --> 00:00:33.408
worth the paper they're written on. We've seen many defense pacts, uh, in the Middle

8
00:00:33.468 --> 00:00:37.988
East, or as I said, in the Arab or Muslim world, and usually they don't come, you

9
00:00:38.028 --> 00:00:43.788
know, with any real significance. Uh, and really Saudi Arabia learned that, um, to

10
00:00:43.848 --> 00:00:48.908
its own detriment, uh, this week when it called on Turkey and Pakistan to live up to

11
00:00:48.988 --> 00:00:53.728
the, uh, letter of the agreement, and neither of them did anything except send

12
00:00:54.108 --> 00:00:57.128
communiqués and condemn the attacks, et cetera, et cetera.
