1. 1:33French President Emmanuel Macron, who made, uh, various assertions about Israel.
2. 1:40Uh, the most remarkable one, uh, not necessarily about Israel, but related to Israel,
3. 1:45obviously, um, that many picked up on, is that Hamas was never active in the West
4. 1:51Bank. That's a direct quote, uh, from his speech, uh, which is absolutely remarkable
5. 1:57because it's simply not true.
6. 1:59I mean, Hamas have basically been active in Judea and Samaria, the West Bank, for
7. 2:04decades, perpetrating dozens, if not over a hundred, uh, terrorist attacks,
8. 2:11uh, killing hundreds of Israelis, um, and wounding thousands more.
9. 2:18In fact, only before Yom Kippur, uh, ironically, a French, a Jew, Israeli French
10. 2:24citizen was murdered as he went, uh, to a, a pool at Mikveh, uh, near his home.
11. 2:32Uh, basically just looking to dip in some water, and he was murdered, um, by a Hamas,
12. 2:38uh, related, uh, murderer. So it's kind of sadly ironic that a French citizen should
13. 2:44be the latest victim of an organization that, um, the French president says isn't
14. 2:49even active, um, has never been active, uh, in, in, in that particular area.
